Bac Ninh FC continues to 'refresh' its squad

Bac Ninh FC officially welcomes defender Le Van Xuan, continuing the process of strong squad reinforcement ahead of their first season in the V-League.

Born in 1999 and developed at PVF, Van Xuan has played for Hong Linh Ha Tinh and Hanoi FC, and has been part of various Vietnamese youth national teams for many years. This full-back once won a gold medal with the U23 Vietnam at the 31st SEA Games.

With the arrival of Van Xuan, the number of new signings announced by Bac Ninh FC as of the morning of August 19 has risen to 14. Previously, the team from the ancient capital of Bac Ninh had brought in three Brazilian foreign players: midfielder Vitor Hugo Rosa Nascimento (Vitao), center-back Rafael Santos de Sousa, and striker Brenner Marlos.

The domestic signings include Nguyen Chinh Dang, Nguyen Van Viet, Nguyen Duy Duong, Le Thang Long, Luong Hoang Nam, Le Tien Anh, Nguyen Van Cong, Duong Tung Lam, and Nguyen Minh Tung. Vietnamese-Canadian midfielder Pierre Lamothe has also joined the club. Nguyen Minh Tung, a former center-back for The Cong Viettel, was the 13th new signing announced on August 18.

On the other hand, Bac Ninh has parted ways with 13 players after the 2025/26 season, including Huynh Tuan Linh, Ha Duc Chinh, Bruno Cunha, Kaina Nunes, and many others.

The club also retained Mai Xuan Quyet and Nguyen Van Dat until 2029, while extending the contract of head coach Paulo Foiani. The Brazilian manager will continue to lead Bac Ninh in the 2026/27 V-League, assisted by assistant coach Rodrigo Casagrande and analyst Marcio Henrique.
